Ethereum Turns 10: What Advisors Need to Know

By DACFP Staff

Ethereum created its first block on July 30, 2015, launching what would become the second-largest digital asset in the world.

While with bitcoin people send, receive and store value without involvement or limitations by a government, bank or other central authority, Ethereum added something new: it lets developers add code to the coin, which runs directly on the blockchain.

This gave rise to “smart contracts” – self-executing agreements that engage in lending, trading, insurance and more – without any intermediary. Ethereum made possible the creation of stablecoins, NFTs, DAOs and tokenized assets.

When talking with your clients about digital assets, Ethereum is an essential part of the conversation. That’s why you need to enroll in the CBDA course: to get the knowledge you need to have helpful, meaningful conversations with your clients.

The course is online, self-paced and awards up to 18 CE credits. Learn more at dacfp.com/certification.
