Senate Banking Committee
Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.), Chairman Senate Banking Committee
Senator Scott has always been driven by his mission statement, ‘to positively impact the lives of a billion people.’ He started and ran successful small businesses, including Allstate Insurance agencies, and as a result, he understands the importance of signing the front and not just the back of the check.
The lessons gleaned from his mentor still guide Senator Scott today: you can think your way out of poverty, and financial independence is a stepping-stone for success. Having a job is a good thing, but creating jobs is a great thing. Through Senator Scott’s personal experiences and faith in God and country, he focuses his work on paving the path for all Americans to achieve their version of the American Dream.
